This policy explains what cookies and browser storage LogicReader uses, and why.

1. The short version

We use one cookie. It is strictly necessary — it keeps you signed in. We set no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies. Because we set no non-essential cookies, we do not show a cookie consent banner — the law does not require one for strictly necessary cookies. If we ever add analytics cookies, we will ask your consent first.

2. The cookie we use

This cookie cannot be switched off, because without it you cannot stay signed in. It carries no advertising or tracking purpose.

3. Browser local storage

Separately from cookies, LogicReader uses your browser's local storage to remember a small number of interface preferences on your device. Examples:

• whether you have opted out of anonymous usage telemetry;
• saved panel layouts and view settings.

Local storage is first-party and functional only. Nothing stored here is sent to advertisers, and it never leaves your device except where you have explicitly opted in to sharing anonymous usage data (see section 4).

4. Usage telemetry (when enabled)

When product usage telemetry is enabled, it is server-side and cookieless — we count which features are used and where errors happen, using PostHog hosted in the EU. It does not use a tracking cookie and does not follow you across other websites. You can opt out at any time from the in-app Privacy & data settings.

5. No consent banner — why

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), a consent banner is required for non-essential cookies, such as advertising or analytics cookies. LogicReader does not set any — so no banner is shown. If this changes in future, for example if we add analytics cookies, we will ask for your consent before setting them and will update this policy first.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you in-app or by email. The version number and effective date at the top of this page always show the current version.
